Bleekemolen quickest in first practice
By Glenn Freeman Friday, May 1st 2009

Jeroen Bleekemolen set the pace in the first A1GP practice session of the weekend at Brands Hatch on Friday.

The Dutch driver, who won on his last outing for the team at Kyalami in February, went to the top of the timesheet halfway through the session, and then continued to lower his time from there.

Adam Carroll made sure Ireland was the highest placed of the three title-chasing teams by moving up to second in the closing stages, half a second adrift of Bleekemolen.

Behind Carroll, Narain Karthikeyan - a winner at Brands last year - ran at the sharp end of the times all session, and eventually ended it in third place, ahead of..............

Bleekemolen on top again at Brands
By Glenn Freeman Saturday, May 2nd 2009

Jeroen Bleekemolen continued to set the A1GP pace at Brands Hatch on Saturday morning, despite missing half of the session after spinning into the gravel.

The Dutch driver, who was fastest on Friday, immediately went quickest in the final practice session, but as he pushed on to improve his time even further, he spun at Druids and brought his track time to an end.

Indonesia sprung the surprise of the session by going second quickest with Satrio Hermanto, as he benefited from a fresh set of tyres to jump up the order.

JR Hildebrand continued his impressive form ahead of his race debut for Team USA by going third quickest, just ahead of .............
