Maldano took a very comfortable win, coming in head of Bianchi and Clos. The gaps were 10.1 and 9.4 seconds.

Sam Bird was fourth after a totally humdrum race and Oliver Turvey rather fluke eighth after van der Garde managed to make a mistake on the final lap, going from seventh to ninth (not from 5th as originally posted). This means that Turvey has pole position for the sprint race tomorrow.

If you want to know how long any of the support races are at Silverstone just look in the programme (£12) and take two laps off what it says in there.

Both races were runaways with good fights lower down. I still can't see another F1 driver there yet.

sergio perez is backed by telmex - owned by carlos slim -richest chappie on the planet they say.
so if he ever decides to waste some of that money on f1 sergio could be well placed.

put in some great races in f3 actually - just not consistently.
