Is there a way to reduce the size of a pic that I want to use as an avatar?

You need an image editor of some shape or form. IView will do it - brilliant little prog and free but there are many others. Check out Tucows.com for the pick of the crop.

I used easy image. Its sooooo easy to use, just select the size you want and its done! does batch re sizing too
