Thanks Murray

I have got details from the 1911 census but that raised a few more questions! I have the church, but they seem rather busy....

I think I need to pay another visit in person

There should also be at least some records for each county. I know that for county Donegal, Letterkenny hospital has records of births, marriages and deaths going back to I think 1821 but I'm not sure where you would look for other counties. I think they can re-issue old birth certs, etc if you can provide enough information and pay them 20 Euro. All births, marriages and deaths still have to be logged with the registrar in Letterkenny hospital and it is the same in all counties in the republic but I do not know what the UK system in Northern Ireland consists of as I have never had any reason to deal with it.
Unless I'm very much mistaken...
Oh, I am very much mistaken!
