We're supposed to be having a Christmas jumper day next week at work ;-)

I don't possess a Christmas jumper nor do I have the slightest intention to purchase one. Bah Humbug!

We had a golf day out last week when the order of the day was Xmas jumper & festive hat ...

Whilst we (nearly) all looked normal (for golfers) the organizer looked a right prize plum ... red trousers, xmas woolly (with flashing lights & music) & a Santa hat ... nearly fell out of the buggy I was laughing so much but god knows what the locals made of it

The difference is at least BT try to keep their customers.

I was with Tiscali (taken over by Talk Talk) up kept going the price until breaking point was reached. I phoned them to ask for the mac code to enable me to switch supplier, offer a better deal to keep me? Not a bit of it. "We don't offer that sort of customer service".
Switched to BT. Contract ends after 1 year and they want to put the price up. I phone them to tell them I found it easy enough to switch to them and will find it just as easy or easier now that a mac code is not needed to switch back or to somebody else to get a better deal. Let me go elsewhere? No way, instant offer of a better price to keep my custom.

The net result is I am actually paying less now for calls and broadband package than 3 years ago just for broadband.
One strange thing was when I switched to BT they "gave" me a £60 shopping voucher, the price for this year works out at £60 less. :lol)
