Seventeen-year-old Tom Cave will become the youngest driver to compete in the world rally championship next week after passing his driving test today.

The Ford Fiesta driver from Aberdovey, who already competes in Latvia, needed a British licence in order to be able to drive between stages in the Wales Rally GB on ordinary roads.

He already had the international licence, which allowed him to compete in the event.
