Hey Motorsport Mumblers

With the increased number of users registering and posting on our forum, it is a good idea to clarify what it is to Mumble within our guidelines.

Members of these forums come from many backgrounds and because of that, a comment considered to be funny by one may be offensive to another – so please be considerate when posting.

Most, if not all, of the following guidelines are common-sense that the vast majority of members adhere to anyway, however there are a few who sometimes don't and I want to list these guidelines as a helping hand in what I think we all want.

The motorsportmumblings guidelines:

1. Members should respect other members when posting. Intentionally inflaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated. This not only offends the user concerned but can cause others not to post and that goes against the whole ethos of our great Mumbling site. If you enjoy inflaming topics and abusing others, this in not the place for you.

2. Members are to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. If there is an interesting article you want to discuss, quote a few lines and include a reference to the source. i.e. Source: xyz or Image: abc

3. Spam is not tolerated under any circumstance. This includes any form of advertising for a service or a product.

4. Abuse of the private messaging system will not be tolerated. If you feel this is being abused then it is up to you to copy and paste offending articles and let us know.

5. Members are not to post pornographic images or links or any offensive text including offensive language. Any such items will be removed without question and the member immediately banned.

6. For all the above (except number 5), offending members will be asked to provide an explanation first by internal PM. If there is no response in one day you will be emailed at your registered email address. If admin receive an understandable explanation then the matter will pass and admin will mediate between the parties to come to an understanding. If we receive no response from the email within two days or the explanation is not satisfactory, in the opinion of the admin staff, the account will be suspended.

7. If the offence or another that is considered by the admin staff to breach our guidelines is repeated, the offending member will be banned. The admin staff will reserve the right to send any explanation as a warning would have already been given.

8. If it is suspected that a banned member has returned under a new guise a collective decision will be made by admin staff to protect the site, its members and the integrity of the guidelines without consultation with the member in question.

9. We reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed to be a violation of the above guidelines is up to the moderators and the administrators. If you feel a post has been unfairly deleted then a PM to a memeber of the Admin team should be your first port of call. We will access as a collective and act accordingly.

10. Decisions made by Admin are not to be discussed on the site. In the interest of fellow mumblers specifics will be kept amongst the Admin team and the members involved. If you have any issues relating to decisions made you should consult with the admin team through PM.

11. Whilst we monitor the Forums continuously, sometimes we may miss a post or consider it not offensive. If you feel that a member's post violates the above guidelines, please PM the moderator of the forum or the admin team who will consider the situation and respond back. Don't worry; your privacy will always be respected.

12. If you would like clarification on any of the above guidelines please PM the admin team.
