Guy Ligier

Passed away yesterday after a good innings - aged 85. I only started watching F1 around 1990 and he retired in 1992 so don't know that much about him but he seemed to me to be a pretty tough bloke. Remember watching him at one race where Comas and Boutsen who were Ligier team-mates ran into each other. Wouldn't have fancied being in their shoes when they got back to the pits! :lol)

was reading his obit in the guardian likewise only having a vague memory of an angry looking large gentleman occasionally seen on screen when his cars were lapped or broke down.

think you could say he had a full life!
