Hopefully they retain Fisi for another season but even as a fan, the reasons for retaining him have grown thin IMO.
Unless I'm very much mistaken...
Oh, I am very much mistaken!

They will retain Fisi and gain Rubens IMO.....leaving a gap at Honda for dunno who, and another year for McLaren to educate Force India to a point where they might see what makes a driver line up work.....ie: young, up and coming ;) This will work out though, as Rubens and Fisi will retire after spending 2009 inputting valuable mature and experienced knowledge into the development of the car, leaving a "expletive" hot car ready for the recruitment of some "expletive" hot talent....where ever that may come from.

All of that sounds way too sensible for it to actually happen.

I'm expecting Force India to take one McLaren-Mercedes driver, not sure which though.
de la Rosa is too valuble for testing to lose.
di Restashows alot of promise but they've seen Paffett in an F1 car and has had significant testing roles.

Will be interesting which one (if any) gets rewarded, Paffett has paid his dues, sat quietly in a testing role waiting for an opportunity. Won the DTM championship in 2005 and left to be a full time tester for McLaren in 2006. Due to testing restrictions and the talent shown by Lewis Hamilton, Paffett missed a potential to race alongside Fernando Alonso in 2007.
Paffett returned to DTM and was offered a 2007 car which Paffett gave up and went into a 2006 machine and Paffett became the first driver in the history of the series to win in a year old car.
The reasons for turning down the new car was due to Paffett's testing role for McLaren and he was only planning on being there for 1 year whilst the pro-drive deal was being done.
All looks like Paffett until di Resta came along and has shown fantastic speed.

di Resta won the 2006 Euro F3, beating Vettel (2nd) by 11 points, Nakajima (7th) as well as F1 hopefuls S├ębastien Buemi (12th) and Romain Grosjean (13th). Went onto 2007 in DTM with a 2 year old car, gained a podium and finished the championship in 5th place (Paffett with a car 1 year newer finished 9th). di Resta was promoted to the 2008 car left vacant by Mika Hakkinen, with alot to live upto in the seat a former F1 double world champion. di Resta shined and finished 2nd in the championship.

:stop)

Fisichella and di Resta would be the ideal lineup in my opinion. So probably the one Ron will completely ignore. :lol)

di Resta because many reckon he is the next Big Thing. And Fisi to see if di Resta is actually the next Big Thing. ;)

there is no point sticking in two untested drivers imo cos then you have no idea how good they are.i mean when sooty beat albers last year everyone thought "oh this guy might be good" but then fisi showed his limitations rather clearly to any williams fans watching the bottom half of the grid.

norbert will be no doubt be trying to stuff as many merc drivers in there as he can but if ron has any sense he will allow fisi to stay on for another year.he is still a very good yardstick for any promising driver imo.
